Jenson starts off with stating, “There has been a variety of pursuits from time to time which have been called theology, but usually it is benign or malicious imiation of churchly usage(3).” I agree because this hapens daily, and there is not a sound structue of who should do or even how to present theology. Jenson comments that “Theology is the hermeneutic of the work of the church(23).” The work of the church is to speak the gospel, to the world in proclamation and to god in appeal and adoration, according to Jenson(23). Now I do believe that the church is responible on carrying or sharing theology to the world, but who is the church? I mean in different religions they see themselves as the church. So to the people that are “unchurched” going to know what church and what theology is true? Most likely not. So the Christian church has the responibilty to share the gospel but also the theology of Christianity.
