An interesting thing about these articles, which somewhat weakens John’s story, is that Theron attended a Baptist seminary. This means that he was well educated on Baptist beliefs and traditions and then decided that they were incorrect. John, however, hardly attended his Orthodox services and was not “schooled” in the Orthodox traditions and left them based on his experiences. I wish the interviewer could have found a well educated individual in the Orthodox Church’s traditions that converted to Evangelicalism, rather than one who was somewhat disillusioned by his experience.
